Meet Our Parent Coordinator
Building a Strong School-Home
Partnership for Student Success
Welcome from
The Parent Coordinator
Dear Parent/ Guardian,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Sarah Howard, and I am delighted to introduce myself as the Parent Coordinator of P.S. 131Q. It is my pleasure to serve this community and work alongside you to enhance family engagement within our school.
My Role as Parent Coordinator
As the Parent Coordinator, my primary objective is to foster a dynamic partnership between families and the school community. I am here to assist and support you and your child with any concerns or questions that may arise during this significant phase of their educational journey. This is a pivotal time filled with both excitement and challenges, and I am committed to ensuring that you feel supported every step of the way. If I am unable to provide an answer directly, rest assured that I will connect you with someone who can.
The Importance of Family Engagement
Family involvement is vital to a child’s academic success from Pre-K through 12th grade. At 131Q, we are dedicated to creating a welcoming environment and encouraging families to actively participate in their child’s education. By engaging with the school community, you establish a foundation for clear and consistent communication, which ultimately contributes to improved academic outcomes for our students.
